Mid of last week, just before she continued her journey to the cologne improv festival, Inbal Lori has visited me in my small home studio in Berlin-Neukölln. This is probably my most political interview so far. I have to admit that I’m not a very political person, since I find it hard to take a stand in the big conflicts of the world – for me, this is like pulling teeth, because usually, both sides have valid arguments and the only criteria that you can use to take a position is your own gut feeling – which is pretty arbitrary. Furthermore, I don’t believe in “the one and only solution” in conflicts of larger extend, let alone that I have them. And because these things usually just bother me emotionally quite a bit, I prefer it to stay out of these things. Some of my questions are derived from this self-selected simple-mindedness, as you might have probably already guessed.
Besides her attitude towards the current political situation in Israel and in the Middle East, Inbal has to tell many interesting things about this year’s Gorillas’ festival, and of course, about improv! Enjoy!
Apart from the beginning, the interview is in English.
